On March 31, the 2026 'Yirun Health · Beauty Together' Art Tour · First Exhibition 'Brilliant Spring Awakening' spectacularly opened at Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital. This exhibition is jointly hosted by the Tianjin Mass Art Museum, Xiqing District Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Zhangjiawo Town People's Government, and Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital, with Xingmeng Art School as a co-organizer. Using art as a medium, it builds a bridge between medicine and humanities, injecting a rich cultural atmosphere into medical spaces. 

As the first wholly foreign-owned tertiary general hospital in the country, while Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital focuses on high-quality medical services, it innovatively explores a new model of humanistic healthcare by introducing art exhibitions into the core medical spaces. 

The March first exhibition, themed 'Brilliant Spring Awakening,' gathers exquisite paintings from multiple artists, allowing patients, their families, and medical staff to experience the beauty of art up close amidst medical consultations, caregiving, and work, letting the comfort of humanities quietly merge into daily healthcare.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of the organizers attended the event, including Chang Han, Deputy Director of Tianjin Mass Art Museum; Liu Qing, Deputy Director of Xiqing District Culture and Tourism Bureau; Yuan Zhongqing, Party Committee Member and Propaganda Committee Member of Zhangjiawo Town; Liu Dan, Director of Tianjin Perennial Medical City and President of Tianjin Perennial Hospital. Also in attendance were representatives of participating artists, families of young painters, media representatives, as well as heads of various departments of Tianjin Perennial Hospital and leaders of health and wellness community institutions, all gathering to partake in this spring appointment blending medicine and art.  

Chang Han, Deputy Director of Tianjin Mass Art Museum, stated that this exhibition is a beneficial exploration of bringing public cultural services into medical spaces and expanding the boundaries of public cultural services.

Liu Qing, Deputy Director of the Wenlv Bureau of Xiqing District, pointed out that the cross-industry collaboration between culture, tourism, and healthcare has created new distinctive cultural scenes for Xiqing District and enriched the connotation of regional cultural services.

Yuan Zhongqing, a member of the Party Committee and publicity committee of Zhangjiawo Town, emphasized that the town government will continue to optimize the provision of public services and continuously enhance the sense of happiness and fulfillment of the people in the jurisdiction through diversified and integrated practices.

Liu Danze, Director of Tianjin Perennial Medical City and Director of Tianjin Perennial Hospital, stated that the hospital is actively promoting the deep integration of 'medicine and humanities,' hoping to use art as a bond to bring spiritual comfort to patients, emotional solace to their families, and motivation for medical staff to move forward.

Representatives of the parents of young artists also shared how art nurtures and positively impacts children's growth. 

Afterwards, Chang Han, Deputy Director of Tianjin Mass Art Museum; Liu Qing, Deputy Director of Xiqing District Culture and Tourism Bureau; Yuan Zhongqing, Party Committee Member and Propaganda Committee Member of Zhangjiawo Town; Liu Dan, Dean of Tianjin Perennial Medical City and President of Tianjin Perennial Hospital; Wang Qiong, Dean of Tianjin Perennial Health and Wellness Community; and Bei Han, co-founder of Star Dream Art School, jointly cut the ribbon for this art exhibition. With the cutting of the golden ribbon and the unveiling of the red silk, the 2026 annual art tour exhibition “Art Enriches Health • Beauty Together” officially commenced.

After the ceremony, Song Haizeng, a research curator at Tianjin Mass Art Museum and a renowned oil painter, gave a guided appreciation of his works to the guests on-site, leading everyone into the artistic world of 'Brilliant Spring Life' and closely interpreting the springtime interest and vitality present in the works.

The Pengrui Li Health City, where Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital is located, is the world's first high-speed rail integrated complex combining medical care, elderly care, hotels, and commerce, created by Singapore's Pengrui Li Group. The project includes a medical and elderly care community with over 1,800 beds, a medical city with 1,000 beds, and a hotel cluster with more than 960 rooms. It has already become a health and lifestyle destination in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. 

Relying on the Pengrui Li Group's international resource platform, Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital has become a benchmark project in China's open medical field since its opening in February 2025. The hospital currently offers departments including internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, cancer prevention and treatment center, orthopedics, foot and ankle surgery, urology, ENT, cardiothoracic disease treatment center, chronic disease management, clinical nutrition, and dentistry. It also operates a physical examination center and an international department, as well as an outstanding medical center serving foreign patients, providing customized medical services to meet high-end and diverse medical needs.

Coinciding with Xiqing District's recent inclusion of the integration of medical care and elderly care into the district-level public welfare projects, and with Zhangjiawo Town as one of the first pilot towns actively promoting service model innovation, this 'Art Enriches Health・Beauty Together' art tour is a vivid practice of government, enterprises, museums, hospitals, and art collaborating. It successfully achieves a deep integration of medical resources with cultural life.

As the hospital's first exploration in the direction of integrating 'medical care and humanities,' Director Liu Dan expressed hope that this art tour could be developed into a 'city reception hall' for the Tianjin South Railway Station area, allowing humanities and art to become an important supplement to medical services and injecting more warmth and cultural richness into the area’s development.

In the future, this annual art touring exhibition will continue to present vibrant displays with monthly refreshed themes, continuously deepening the integration of medical health and cultural arts. Using art as a bridge to unite multiple forces, it will inject humanistic momentum into the coordinated development of the health sector and cultural industry in Xiqing District and even in Tianjin. Moreover, through regular humanistic practices, it will make medical services warmer, let the beauty of humanity permeate healthy living, and continuously empower the construction of a healthy Tianjin and the creation of high-quality public service benchmarks.
