Tianjin Perennial Hospital Full-Life-Cycle International Medical Weight Loss Center Officially Opens
2026.03.25

On March 30, 2026, the Full-Life-Cycle International Medical Weight Loss Center, established based on China’s first wholly foreign-owned tertiary general hospital — Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital, officially opened with the witness of guests from all walks of life.

This initiative not only enriches the full-life-cycle weight management approach in the domestic medical weight loss field, but also, with an international perspective and high-quality medical standards, brings a new scientific path for weight loss to the obese population in China. At the same time, it actively responds to the national “Weight Management Year” strategic call, making a significant contribution to promoting the high-quality development of obesity prevention and control in China.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Liu Dan, President of Tianjin Perennial Medical City and President of Tianjin Perennial Hospital, delivered a speech. He stated: 'As China's first wholly foreign-owned tertiary general hospital, we have both the responsibility and the capability to respond to the national call, relying on internationally advanced medical resources and management experience to build a truly full-lifecycle international medical weight loss center. We believe that with the joint efforts of all colleagues, the center will undoubtedly become a flagbearer in the field of weight loss management nationwide, contributing Tianjin Perennial Hospital's strength to the building of a Healthy China.'

Mr. Wang Po, head of the International Medical Weight Loss Center of Tianjin Perennial Hospital's Full Life Cycle, emphasized when introducing the center's plan: 'Our core concept is medical-grade, international, and full-cycle. Medical-grade means professional assurance from a tertiary hospital; international represents regular consultations from international experts and services for international patients; full-cycle covers the complete chain of "prevention-intervention-management," allowing patients to benefit for life.'

In the future, the center will regularly invite internationally recognized experts in the field of obesity to the hospital for consultations, surgical demonstrations, and academic exchanges. At the same time, a dedicated international patient service channel will be established to provide personalized services such as bilingual medical treatment and cross-border medical coordination, truly achieving 'localization of international resources and internationalization of local services.' The goal is to build a globally influential medical weight management platform, allowing Chinese patients to enjoy world-class medical weight loss services without leaving their country.
