The Mongolia Health Technology Expo 2026 (MHTE 2026) was held in Ulaanbaatar. With the support of Tianjin Municipal Health Commission, Perennial General Hospital Tianjin and Perennial Rehabilitation Hospital, together with Tianjin Hospital, Tianjin Chest Hospital, and Tianjin Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital, formed a medical delegation to attend the expo under the theme “International Diagnosis and Treatment · Tianjin Solutions — Building a Health Bridge on the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor.” This marks the first time Tianjin’s medical brand has gone overseas as a multi-specialty expert team, and an important step for Tianjin Perennial Medical in advancing its international healthcare service layout.

Perennial Group, headquartered in Singapore, is an integrated healthcare, rehabilitation, eldercare, and wellness company. In China, it has over 29,000 medical and eldercare beds and more than 41 medical institutions, including general hospitals, specialty hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, and nursing homes. Perennial Group focuses on the development and operation of high-speed rail TOD projects centered on healthcare, with key locations in Tianjin, Kunming, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xi’an, and Chongqing.
Perennial General Hospital Tianjin is China’s first wholly foreign-owned tertiary general hospital. Located in Tianjin Perennial Health City, the world’s first medical, rehabilitation, eldercare, wellness, and cultural tourism high-speed rail TOD complex, it covers general hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, brain hospitals, large health communities, and hotel clusters, committed to building an international, high-standard, full-cycle healthcare service platform. It has treated over 500 international patients from 41 countries and regions, including many from Mongolia.
The delegation invited three leading experts from Tianjin’s tertiary hospitals, covering cardiovascular, orthopedics, and TCM rehabilitation. Dr. Fu Naikuan from Tianjin Chest Hospital has long been engaged in clinical diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and will participate in academic exchanges and consultations on cardiovascular diseases during the expo. Dr. Miao Jun from Tianjin Hospital is experienced in orthopedic trauma, joint, and spine disease diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Wang Yizhou from Tianjin Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital specializes in integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine rehabilitation and will provide TCM rehabilitation consultations for Mongolian patients. The three experts will work with Tianjin Perennial Medical’s ten key specialty teams to conduct precise medical technology exchanges around high-incidence diseases in Mongolia.

Tianjin Perennial Medical brought ten key specialties to the expo, including ENT & Head-Neck Surgery, Urology (including Andrology), General Surgery, Endoscopy Center, Health Screening Center, Orthopedics, Oncology & Radiotherapy, Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery, Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery, and Stroke Rehabilitation, and set up the Excellence Center international service zone. The specialty strengths are concentrated in three areas:
1.Oncology and Cardiovascular: equipped with Tomo-C helical tomotherapy system; routinely performs OPCAB, TAVR, PCI, arrhythmia radiofrequency ablation, and great vessel surgery. Recently, an 81-year-old ultra-high-risk coronary patient successfully underwent staged PCI for revascularization.
2.Surgery and Minimally Invasive: General Surgery covers five subspecialties including thyroid, breast, hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, and colorectal, providing endoscopic minimally invasive surgery, breast-conserving and breast reconstruction, sphincter-preserving surgery, and ERAS. Urology’s Rezum water vapor therapy for prostate disease takes only 10 minutes, with less than 2ml blood loss and next-day ambulation. ENT & Head-Neck Surgery performs minimally invasive radiofrequency ablation for snoring, cochlear implantation, endoscopic sinus surgery, and allergy diagnosis and treatment; vidian neurectomy offers a new option for drug-resistant allergies. Orthopedics has six subspecialties: Foot & Ankle, Joint, Sports Medicine, Peripheral Nerve, Spine, and Bone Tumor.
3.Early Screening, Health Checkup, and Rehabilitation: Endoscopy Center is a designated medical institution for colorectal cancer screening in Tianjin. Health Screening Center integrates international standards with Japanese-style health screening. Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery completed an MDT laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy for a 270kg patient with BMI 90.21. Stroke Rehabilitation has a 2,000+㎡ rehabilitation gym, a 24-person hyperbaric oxygen chamber, and Tianjin’s only large adjustable hydrotherapy pool.

The Excellence Center provides Mongolian doctors and Mongolian interpreters for overseas patients, offering one-stop services from consultation, visa assistance, airport pickup to diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and follow-up. It successfully escorted Mongolian singer Unudelger across borders, using a “treatment plan ready before patient arrives” mechanism for precise genetic diagnosis, and the patient recovered and was discharged.

This roadshow focuses on direct doctor-to-doctor exchanges, establishing specialty connections through academic lectures, case discussions, and second opinions. On this basis, it provides Mongolian patients with evaluation, treatment, and follow-up support for seeking medical care in Tianjin, gradually forming a sustainable cross-border diagnosis and treatment channel. The expert delegation also held talks with Mongolian Trade and Development Bank (TDB), the International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry (IWFCI) Mongolia Chapter, and other institutions to explore cooperation models for group health checkups and follow-up specialty care.

Tianjin Port is Mongolia’s main sea outlet. The China-Mongolia-Russia cross-border container rail-sea intermodal train volume ranks first among China’s coastal ports. This expo will promote specialty co-construction, talent exchange, equipment procurement, and cross-border telemedicine, building a health bridge on the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor. During the expo, the Perennial General Hospital Tianjin booth provides free health screening and B2B consultations, helping Mongolian patients seek medical care in China and deepening China-Mongolia practical health cooperation.
