The 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (referred to as "CIFTIS") grandly opened in Beijing on September 10. This year’s fair, themed "Digital Intelligence Leads, Services Trade Renewed," gathers over 50 countries and more than 20 international organizations and institutions to showcase innovative achievements. Tianjin Perennial Hospital, as the first wholly foreign-owned, tertiary comprehensive hospital in the country, made its debut at this international-level exhibition.

As China's first wholly foreign-owned tertiary general hospital, Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital has been highly anticipated since its opening in February this year. Currently, it has established departments including Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Dermatology, Cancer Prevention and Treatment Center, Orthopedics, Foot and Ankle Surgery, Urology, ENT, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Disease Treatment Center, Chronic Disease Management, Clinical Nutrition, Dentistry, Medical Laboratory, Medical Imaging, Ultrasound, and Pharmacy. It also has a Physical Examination Center and an International Department, providing customized medical services to meet high-end and diversified healthcare needs.

At this year's China International Fair for Trade in Services, Tianjin Perennial Hospital focused on showcasing its international service concept, innovative models, and its explorations in promoting openness and cooperation in the medical field. Especially noteworthy is the Perennial Health City at Tianjin South Railway Station, where Tianjin Perennial Hospital is located. It is the nation's first “medical, wellness, elderly care, and cultural tourism” high-speed rail complex. This represents the strategic layout of the Perennial Group, integrating real estate and healthcare services, with current operations also established in Kunming, Chengdu, Xi’an, Chongqing, and Guangzhou.  

Receiving Extensive Media Attention with Numerous Highlights in Innovative International Medical Models  

During the event, many guests and media friends visited the Tianjin Perennial Hospital exhibition hall. Liu Dan, Director of Tianjin Perennial Medical City and President of Tianjin Perennial Hospital, introduced the innovative models and highlights of international medical services:  

1. Integrated Multi-Industry Development, One-Stop Service: Tianjin Perennial Hospital is not just a single independent hospital. It is an essential part of Tianjin Perennial International Health City and works in coordination with affiliated facilities within Perennial Medical City, including a rehabilitation hospital, a brain hospital, wellness communities, and a hotel cluster. Together, they build a comprehensive health service system that integrates medical care, rehabilitation, wellness, nursing, and cultural tourism. This multi-industry integration model achieves efficient allocation and complementarity of medical resources and provides patients with continuous health protection covering their entire life cycle.

2. Exploration and innovation in the integration of technology, services and international resources: At the beginning of the clinic, we signed a contract with SingHealth to carry out physician training, mutual visits and international consultation cooperation.

3. Construction of characteristic specialties: The hospital cancer center and GE Healthcare China have jointly built an innovative tumor center to achieve discipline upgrades.

4. Integrated payment model of medical insurance and commercial insurance: Tianjin Perennial Hospital has opened medical insurance in Tianjin and other places, and many domestic and international commercial insurance companies are in the process of contacting and signing agreements.

5. Build Tianjin as an international medical tourism destination: We hope to rely on comprehensive formats and location advantages to attract foreign patients to Tianjin for medical treatment, drive related consumption (such as hotels and shopping), and create a "medical tourism industry", which is a long-term and imaginative direction. As the core component of Tianjin Perennial Health City, Tianjin Perennial Hospital integrates with health care communities, hotels and other formats, covering Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei with high-quality medical, rehabilitation and elderly care services to international customers. This year, more than 15 countries have come to our hospital for medical treatment.

Linking with a Wider Range of International Medical Services

In addition, he mentioned that he hopes the exhibition at CIFTIS will allow more people to learn about Tianjin Perennial Health City and attract more residents from Beijing to seek medical care, elderly care, and tourism in Tianjin.
