Empowering the development of specialties, safeguarding urinary health | The standardized training course on urodynamic technology at Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital has successfully concluded
2026.01.24

To promote the standardized application of urodynamics technology in clinical practice and improve the diagnostic and therapeutic level of related specialties in the region, on January 24, a standardized training course on urodynamics technology, hosted by the China Biopharmaceutical Industry Chain Innovation and Transformation Alliance (CBIITA) and the Collaborative Innovation Center for Urological Equipment—Deep Intelligence, and organized by Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital, successfully concluded. Personnel from various medical institutions in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region engaged in work related to urodynamics, including 10 key physicians and technicians from departments such as urology, gynecology, and rehabilitation, participated in the entire training. The training adopted a model integrating theory and practical operations and received high recognition from the students.

The training featured a strong faculty lineup, with a core teaching team composed of senior experts, including Professor Qiao Baomin, a member of the Women’s Urology Group of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine in Urology, Deputy Head of the Urinary Control Group of the Tianjin Urological Society, and urology expert at the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University; and Professor Wu Changli from the Urology Department of Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital. Drawing on their extensive clinical experience and solid academic background, the team provided comprehensive and high-quality teaching guidance to the participants.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Qiao Baomin delivered a speech. He expressed his sincere welcome to all the trainees and encouraged everyone to cherish this learning opportunity, to deeply cultivate professional skills, and to improve business abilities, transforming the knowledge gained into practical clinical skills to better address real problems in diagnosis and treatment. At the same time, he emphasized that urodynamic technology, as a core method for diagnosing lower urinary tract dysfunction, its standardized application is directly related to the accuracy of clinical diagnosis and treatment and the effectiveness of patient care, having profound significance for improving the quality of regional medical services. Finally, he wished this training a complete success.

During the training period, the program closely focused on the core clinical needs, concentrating on key techniques and standardized procedures for urodynamic testing. In the theoretical lectures, the expert team systematically explained the basic principles of urodynamic testing, interpretation of commonly used indicators, indications, and contraindications. At the same time, combined with common lower urinary tract dysfunction diseases such as urinary incontinence and neurogenic bladder, they provided an in-depth explanation of the core role of this technology in diagnostic assessment. The content was both professional and practically instructive, helping trainees solidify their theoretical foundation and clarify their diagnostic and treatment thinking.

In the practical exercises, under the professional guidance of Dr. Wang Xin, trainees performed hands-on practice on simulated equipment. The content covered key procedures including uroflowmetry, bladder pressure measurement during the filling phase, pressure-flow analysis, and leak point pressure measurement, as well as skills for using and maintaining the instruments. Through hands-on teaching, improper practices during the operation were patiently corrected to ensure that each trainee could skillfully master the standard examination procedures and core skills.

The successful completion of this training has provided a highly efficient and practical learning and communication platform for professionals in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and further demonstrated Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital's solid technical foundation, high-quality teaching resources, and meticulous organizational capabilities in the field of urology.

In the future, Tianjin Pengrui Li Hospital will continue to leverage its specialized advantages, focus on actual clinical needs, and build more practical and effective professional exchange and technical training platforms. It aims to promote the standardization and precision of regional urodynamic diagnostic and treatment technologies, and with professional medical skills and attentive healthcare services, provide a solid guarantee for the urinary health of a wide range of patients.
