On April 15, a delegation led by Sng Chee Tat, Minister of the Ministry of National Development of Singapore, Peter Tan Hai Chuan, Singapore’s Ambassador to China, and Li Xiang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, paid an inspection and guidance visit to Tianjin Perennial Health City.
Wang Zhiping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xiqing District Committee and District Chief of Tianjin; Guo Jinhua, Party Secretary, Director and Second-Level Inspector of Xiqing District Health Commission; Lau Suk Ching, Chief Operating Officer of Perennial Group; Chan Mei Lan, Chief Executive Officer (Healthcare) of Perennial Group; and Dong Jiaping, Chief Corporate Officer of Perennial Group, accompanied the delegation on the inspection.

As the world's first project invested and built in China by Singapore's Perennial Group “Medical, Health Care, Elderly Care & Cultural Tourism”As a benchmark complex project, Tianjin Radiance Health City is located in the Tianjin South Railway Station Science and Technology Business District, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan and a total construction area of over 320,000 square meters.
Integrating multiple business forms including medical treatment, health and elderly care, hotels and commerce, the project builds a“A one-stop health service system featuring the in-depth integration of medical care, wellness, elderly living, nursing, culture and tourism. The Medical City is home to Tianjin Radiance Hospital — the nation’s first wholly foreign-owned Grade III general hospital — alongside a rehabilitation hospital and a neurology hospital, with a total of 1,000 beds.
The wellness and elderly care community provides full-cycle elderly care services covering independent living, semi-assisted living, care for the disabled and demented, and full-time nursing. It also includes a nursing home with a planned capacity of over 1,800 beds. The hotel cluster comprises three-star to five-star standard hotels and a large conference center, offering approximately 960 guest rooms in total.。


During the inspection and research visit, Wang Qiong, Dean of Perennial Wellness & Elderly Care Community, introduced Perennial Group’s innovative practices in the integration of medical and elderly care, especially its service system for chronic disease management and health management for the elderly.The system covers the monitoring of blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and sleep status. It also carries out sarcopenia prevention training, dysphagia screening and rehabilitation guidance targeting common elderly health issues. Meanwhile, it provides professional medical support including regular ward rounds by physicians and home-based rehabilitation training.
The Perennial Wellness & Elderly Care Community offers one-stop access to traditional Chinese and Western medicine rehabilitation facilities, professional daily life assistance and care, as well as scientific exercise and dietary guidance. Relying on the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) diagnosis and treatment mechanism, it provides patients with one-stop high-quality services covering precise diagnosis and personalized treatment.

The visit by Minister Xu Fangda, Ambassador Chen Haiquan and their entourage has injected new impetus into Tianjin Perennial Health City’s further deepening of cooperation between China and Singapore in the medical and health sector.
