On June 3, the "Wang Qi Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Famous Physician Studio" was officially inaugurated at Perennial General Hospital Tianjin. Led by Professor Wang Qi, a specialist in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery from Beijing Tongren Hospital, the studio will leverage the platform of the first wholly foreign-owned tertiary general hospital in China to focus on complex and severe cases in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery, providing patients with international-standard diagnostic and treatment services.

The unveiling ceremony was held that afternoon. Chen Meilan, CEO of Perennial Healthcare, Professor Wang Qi, a specialist in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery from Beijing Tongren Hospital, and Professor Li Chao, a Tianjin-based specialist in the same field, delivered speeches successively.

In her address, Ms. Chen Meilan stated that the studio will fully leverage the leading role of experts and integrate multidisciplinary high-quality resources to provide individualized diagnostic and treatment services for patients. This initiative represents an important practice for the hospital to deepen specialized refinement and continuously enhance its capacity to diagnose and treat complex and severe conditions.

Professor Wang Qi proposed that the Famous Physician Studio should serve as a platform to promote the standardization of diagnosis and treatment in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery as well as snoring disorders, facilitating the sharing of high-quality medical resources across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and benefiting a broader patient population.

Professor Li Chao noted that he will fully support the development of the Famous Physician Studio, leveraging high-quality medical resources to further enhance the level of diagnosis and treatment in otorhinolaryngology–head and neck surgery, ensuring that patients truly benefit.

Following the speeches, Ms. Chen Meilan and Professor Wang Qi jointly unveiled the plaque for the studio

Following the unveiling ceremony, Professor Wang Qi's team immediately commenced clinical consultations. Patients who had traveled specifically for the opportunity to see Professor Wang were already waiting at the clinic, with one having made the trip from Laiwu, Shandong Province.

It was noted that the studio will establish a regular schedule of specialist outpatient services, conduct multidisciplinary consultations on complex cases, and plans to advance clinical teaching and research collaborations. These efforts will support the training of specialized medical professionals and contribute to the continuous elevation of otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery standards in the region.
