Center Overview

The Tianjin Perennial Hospital Immune Disease Medical Center (Department of Rheumatology and Immunology) is the first medical center in Tianjin with immunology as its core specialty. It was officially established and began clinical operations on January 1, 2026. The center is built around the core concept of "immune assessment, intervention, and reconstitution," and is dedicated to establishing a comprehensive immunology platform bridging basic research and clinical application, advancing precision diagnosis and treatment, as well as research translation for immune-related diseases.

The center comprises three major platforms: the Immune Disease Ward, the Immune Disease Specialty Clinic, and the Clinical Research Center for Immune Homeostasis and Healthy Longevity. Its clinical and research scope covers autoimmune diseases, immunodeficiency disorders, allergic diseases, immune exhaustion disorders, onco-immunology, neuroimmunological diseases, and aging-related conditions. Leveraging advanced diagnostic technologies (such as age-stratified immune assessment, thymic function evaluation, and autoimmune disease immune profiling) and innovative therapies (including immune modulation, antibody therapy, cell therapy, and immune reconstitution), the center provides comprehensive, life-cycle-oriented, and personalized diagnostic and treatment services.

Expert Team

The director of the center is Dr. Zhu Jiaxin, MD, who trained under Professor Li Zhanguo at the Clinical Immunology Center/Rheumatology and Immunology Department of Peking University People's Hospital. Dr. Zhu leads a multidisciplinary team with expertise in rheumatology and immunology, nephrology, pulmonology, neurology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, traditional Chinese medicine, immunology, and genetics. The center maintains close collaborations with renowned institutions, including the Rheumatology and Immunology Specialty Alliance of Peking University People's Hospital, the Department of Immunology at Peking University Health Science Center, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore, ensuring that its clinical practice remains aligned with international standards.
